Itinerary

Day 1Cusco - Wayllabamba (L, D)

The glamour and adventure join together into a delicious adventure to Machu Picchu starting in your hotel room in Cusco. After your breakfast, get on the private vehicle to Ollantaytambo town (9160.1 ft / 2792 m) in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, escorted by one of our tour guides. Explore part of this cosmopolitan city and shop for extra supplies. Later, the vehicle will go back to the road and it will stop at Piscacucho (8776.3 ft / 2675 m), the starting point of the trek.

How memorable will be your experience? The wonder of the Luxury Inca Trail is also built on how you hike. The first 4 hours you will get accustomed to the hiker lifestyle until you reach Tarayoc (8776.3 ft / 2675 m) to rest and have lunch. The wonderful time along with your partner, friends or family will extend until you reach the natural campsite of Wayllabamba (9744.1 ft / 2970 m) in which a hidden luxury place is waiting for you. Have a hot shower, get a massage and rest in a comfortable bedroom tent after you enjoy your upper-class dinner.

Day 2Wayllabamba - Pacaymayo (B, L, D)

Have you ever fallen in love with a forest? Your heart will be excited after your breakfast. First, the Ravine of Ayapata (10918.7 ft / 3328 m) welcomes you to a magical world of new species living together in the Inca Trail. The moderate hike will have a halt in the Llulluchapampa campsite (12335.9 ft / 3760 m). Share a delicious lunch of Peruvian food and get amazed by the chef creations. Once you stop joking or watching the clouds, it is time to get back to the route.

The stairs are longer and you will need more strength to get to the majestic Dead Woman’s Pass also known as Warmiwañusca (13828.7 ft / 4215 m). This is the highest you will reach, so take a commemorative picture with all your group to remember this special moment. Now is time to descend by a narrow and solitary path. A more humid climate will indicate you are entering Pacaymayo ravine and campsite (11482.9 ft / 3500 m). The sun sets slowly, the hot water cleans your body and the massage table waits for you. Finish your day with a delicious dinner and a deep rest.

Day 3Pacaymayo - Phuyupatamarca (B, L, D)

The third day of your Luxury Inca Trail starts with a yoga session. Stretch your body and have a healthy breakfast before returning to the path. The following days, Inca architecture

treasures will be present in your mind and sight. One hour of hike, and Runkurakay (12975.7 ft / 3955 m) puzzles your mind with its circular stone walls. Some stories later, Sayacmarca Inca town (11761.8 ft / 3585 m) lets you have a first sight on how those humans used to live. You can continue discussing theories at lunchtime in Chaquicocha (11597.8 ft / 3535 m) or just chat about gourmet food.

Now it is time to ascend up to the sky until we reach the “city above the sky”, Phuyupatamarca (12040.7 ft / 3670 m). Explore on your own, understand history, imagine its inhabitants and create a beautiful memory. The luxurious ritual begins one more time in the campsite. Make yourself comfortable with a hot shower, a delightful massage and fine dining. Do not forget to have a toast with the crew, as it is the last night with you. Time to appreciate!

Day 4Phuyupatamarca - Machu Picchu - Cusco (B, L)

Your last day of Inca Trail starts before the sun rises. 4:30 am, breakfast is served and your heart feels an intense emotion. Water seems to be in the air, tells your skin. A garden of orchids is close, tell your eyes. The beautiful ruins of Wiñaywayna (8694.2 ft / 2650 m) welcome you, tells your soul. Have a break, breath history and keep on going.

The last stone stair will take you to the main gate to the world wonder. Cross Inti Punku, or Sun Gate (9022.3 ft / 2750 m). From now, you are invited to descend by the visitors entrance to the most important treasure of Peruvians from ancient times and now, Machu Picchu (7972.4 ft / 2430 m). Live 2 hours of fantasies and real adventures as you walk by temples, houses and terraces. A rewarding visit after this long hike.

Lunch time will take place in the elegant Belmond Sanctuary Lodge Hotel, to later take your bus to Aguas Calientes town. Greet our representative and finish your adventure with the transfer to your hotel in Cusco.
