The treks are very famous all over the world and the Inca trail is part of the unmissable destinations that every trekking adventurer must do. A classic trek that takes you for 4 days with many experiences on the route, every day surprising you.
The Inca Trail today
This trek, which started a long time ago, became very popular when it was known that this trail led directly to our wonder: Machu Picchu. It was then that many travelers wanted to visit Machu Picchu with days of adventure in advance. It is a privilege to be able to walk this path that the Incas made and that was largely preserved until today.
As it became a very popular destination, many people wanted to travel and it was time that certain restrictions were put in place. Travel agencies began to adapt to the new rules, but also to offer alternatives so that the visitor can visit this destination. Currently the Inca Trail offers limited spaces per day to visit, without exceeding that limit, that is why travelers must book many months in advance (6 months minimum, and if there are still spaces available).
The main reason for the limitation of income to this attraction, is for the theme of conservation of this road, and can be preserved for future generations. Also, this attraction is only available for 11 months of the year from March to January, since in the month of February it is completely closed and the entire trail is revised. Restorations are made if necessary and all the maintenance in general.
Traveling in a group or exclusive private service?
This is always a question when visiting a destination. Join a group or an exclusive trip for you.
The Inca Trail has become so traditional, which is why nowadays group services are offered. People of many nationalities with different languages get together and are grouped in one to have the service explained in one language, usually English.
In the private service, that changes. The service is more personalized and exclusive to you or the number of people you are. You choose your language from the beginning. All the logistics and organization of services is always for you and yours. You are not put together with other travelers. The private service will always have better advantages. The guide, for example, is always with you at all times. The lunches have almost no fixed schedule, it changes day by day, and in the group service, it is almost always fixed and everyone must arrive at the same time.
At the end of the day, you choose what is best for you, what is most convenient for you and the quality of service you want to receive. The adventure begins!
